If you’d rather spend your Spring Break in the snow than in the sand, then you’re in luck this week. I am here to give you the Sierra snow report: it snowed this weekend. So if you’ve just got to get in some Spring skiing or hot-cocoa sipping, head on up to the mountains. Here’s a little inspiration.

And here’s a little more inspiration, there are still deals to be had for families traveling up to Lake Tahoe. Here’s one at Squaw Creek Resort I read about at We Just Got Back.

Ah, I can almost feel the weight of the snow on those branches – you’re not kidding! I’ve only been up to Tahoe once this season, and I really want to make it up again. Appreciate the reminder & motivation!
This is what we did and now Squaw is quiet, warm with great snow! We caught the tail end of the storm so Rt 80 was a parking lot. (also this mini break is finally letting me catch up on reading blogs).
You must have gone up when we went, we came back on Sunday, and parked on 80 for over an hour. We amused ourselves by watching people climb up the snowy hills to find a place to pee. I can think of better ways to pass the time though
We had a little wet snow here last night…but it’s all gone now, and beautiful weather for walking in the park behind my house.
Lovely photo, though. I do like snow and will really be missing it around hot, humid July
